Sri Petaling is a small township located just 10 minutes off the city of Kuala Lumpur. If you are traveling towards the southern direction, you will be able to get to Sri Petaling. There are a few highways connecting other parts of Kuala Lumpur to Sri Petaling.
The easiest way to get there is via the PLUS highway southbound. From the other side of state, if you are traveling from Subang and the Petaling Jaya areas, you can use the KESAS highway which makes this township easily accessible and reached. For the commuters, there are ample taxis and buses that ferries to and fro. There is also an LRT (Light Railway Transit) service that stops at Sri Petaling and Bukit Jalil.
This township was built and develop to accommodate the then planned 1998 Commonwealth Games. Bukit Jalil would then be host to the main Stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies will be held and will also house the athletes who will come to compete in the major sports event. Today, the stadium still hosts major sports events, cultural shows and international live acts.
The amenities in Sri Petaling are abundant. Food is definitely easy to locate as there are hawker centers mushrooming around the township day and night, 24 hours a day. There are also independent or cuisine based restaurants offering a variety of food for anyone who appreciates. Banks and shops can also be found scattered all over the shophouses. There are a few petrol stations around and parking lots around the business centers are ample. Check out the Sri Petaling Business Directory section for business listing.
